Last reviewed: August 29, 2026. These figures are the latest values verified in GiftCardVibe’s public local-cache pages during this review. They are dated snapshots, not guaranteed buy offers or a real-time feed. GiftCardVibe will recheck this table when its source cache changes; confirm a fresh quote before submitting the card.
The Apple physical and e-code figures come from different snapshots. Do not interpret their difference as a pure physical-versus-e-code spread; market movement between July 5 and August 1 may explain some or all of the gap.
Vanilla Visa is an open-loop prepaid product rather than a brand-locked store card. Its resale route, restrictions and risk profile differ sharply from Apple, Steam or Razer Gold, which helps explain why its observed estimate is much lower. Treat the large spread as a product difference, not a typo.
Why there is no single answer for every $100 US gift card
“US gift card” identifies the issuing market, not the brand. A $100 US Apple card, a $100 US Steam card and a $100 US Vanilla Visa card are different products. Nigerian buyers price them according to demand, verification risk, resale options and the evidence available for the card.
That is why multiplying $100 by the bank’s USD/NGN exchange rate gives the wrong answer. A gift card is not a $100 banknote. The displayed rate is a resale estimate for one named product and format.
How to calculate a $100 US gift card in Naira
The basic calculation is:
$100 card value × the current rate per dollar = estimated Naira payout
For example, if a platform quotes ₦1,200 per dollar for the exact US brand and card type, the planning estimate is ₦120,000. If its rate is ₦1,000 per dollar, the estimate is ₦100,000. Use the exact amount row when one exists; some platforms apply different rates to $25, $50, $100, $200 or $500 cards.
The calculator is for comparison only. It does not inspect the card, reserve a rate or create a trade.
What changes the final Naira payout?
| Factor | What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | Apple, Steam, Amazon, Razer Gold, Google Play or prepaid Visa | Buyer demand and resale routes differ. |
| Country | Confirm that the card was issued for the United States | A US card must not be priced as a UK, Canadian or European card. |
| Format | Physical card or e-code | Verification steps and fraud exposure can produce different rates. |
| Receipt | Original purchase or activation receipt | Proof can help establish source and activation, but it does not guarantee acceptance. |
| Denomination | Use the exact $100 row where available | A platform may not use one flat multiplier for every amount. |
| Card status | Activated, unused and readable | An invalid, already redeemed or damaged card cannot be priced as normal inventory. |
| Data age | Check the date beside the estimate | Old rate data should be treated as a reference, not today’s final quote. |
How to confirm that your gift card is from the United States
Check the retailer, receipt, currency, packaging and the account region for which the card was sold. Do not decide based only on the “$” symbol because several countries use dollar currencies.
Country identification also affects whether a card can be redeemed. Apple states that its gift cards cannot be redeemed outside the country or region of purchase. If you are unsure whether an Apple card is US-issued, resolve that before requesting a Naira quote or attempting redemption. See Apple’s official gift-card troubleshooting guide.
Do not use a VPN, proxy or a false country label to make a card appear eligible. A platform can reject the card after review, and the wrong region can create account or redemption problems.
Physical card versus e-code
A physical gift card is normally supported by clear images of the card and, where available, a receipt. An e-code is delivered digitally. The two formats may show the same rate for one brand and different rates for another. In this table, however, the Apple figures use different source dates, so their gap is not a controlled like-for-like format comparison.
Do not mark an e-code as a physical card simply because the physical estimate is higher. The final inspection can detect the mismatch, delay the trade or lead to rejection.
A safe way to compare offers
- Identify the exact brand and confirm the US market.
- Select the $100 denomination and the correct physical or e-code format.
- Check the source date and any stale-data warning.
- Compare at least two reputable platforms using the same card details.
- Ask whether the quote is locked or can change after inspection.
- Review fees, withdrawal limits and payout method—not just the headline rate.
- Create a traceable order before submitting the code.
- Keep the receipt and order record until the Naira payout is settled.
The GiftCardVibe rate calculator and rate intelligence dashboard help with comparison, but neither replaces the trading platform’s final review. GiftCardVibe publishes comparison data and is not the buyer or the party that settles your trade.
Safety warning before you sell
Never send the redemption code, PIN or an uncovered card photo through WhatsApp, Telegram, email or a public comment just to receive a quote. A person who has the code may be able to redeem the balance before you are paid.
The US Federal Trade Commission warns that gift cards are not a normal way to pay a government agency, business, tech-support caller or emergency demand. If someone tells you to buy a gift card and send its number or PIN, stop and verify the request independently. Read the FTC’s official gift-card scam guidance.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a $100 US gift card in Naira today?
There is no universal price. Use the table at the top to match the brand and card type. The visible amount is a dated planning estimate from GiftCardVibe’s local cache, and the platform’s final inspection can change it.
Is every $100 US gift card worth the same amount?
No. Apple, Steam, Amazon, Razer Gold, Google Play and Vanilla Visa cards can have different Naira values even when each card has a $100 face value.
Can I calculate the value with the USD/NGN exchange rate?
Not reliably. Gift-card resale pricing reflects brand demand, region, format, denomination and verification risk. It is not the same as converting cash dollars at a bank or foreign-exchange rate.
Is a physical $100 gift card worth more than a $100 e-code?
Sometimes, but not always. Check the exact brand row. Buyers can price physical cards and e-codes differently because their evidence and verification processes are different.
Do I need to enter my gift card code on GiftCardVibe?
No. Never enter or send a code to calculate a planning value. Only submit it inside the authenticated transaction flow of a platform you independently chose, after you have a traceable order and understand the final-review rules.
What if the rate data is old?
Treat it as a reference and obtain a fresh quote before trading. The source date is shown beside each row so that an old snapshot is not presented as a guaranteed current payout.
