Our Mastercard rate page records ₦22,040 for a generic US $100 physical card, dated August 1, 2026. It does not identify the issuer or program. As checked on October 9, 2026, it is not a verified current offer for a specific Mastercard gift card.
The record does not explain why that amount was entered. We cannot infer a defect in your card, a universal discount, or a current market rate from it.
Which Mastercard product do you have?
Mastercard’s network covers several gift-card programs. Its gift-card information page says terms can vary by issuer. The support address and issuer details on your own card are therefore essential.
One example is the US program sold at Mastercardgiftcard.com. Its official FAQ describes physical and eGift products, with cards issued by Sutton Bank or Sunrise Banks and distributed through InComm. Those program details cannot be assumed for every product bearing the Mastercard logo.
The generic ₦22,040 entry lacks enough identification to establish that it concerns this particular program. We are not giving it as the program’s $100 naira quote.
A declined purchase does not establish a resale value
For the Mastercardgiftcard.com program specifically, the FAQ explains that some merchants place a hold above the purchase amount. The available balance must cover the authorization, which can differ from the eventual charge. A decline can also require support investigation rather than proving that the card has no value.
That program permits eligible purchases with US and District of Columbia merchants, excludes recurring billing and ATM or cash-back use, and does not allow transfers of the balance to a bank account. These are product-specific restrictions. Check your own agreement if your card comes from another program.
If you see an unfamiliar hold, keep the transaction details and contact the support route supplied with the card. A naira estimate cannot explain the status of a merchant authorization.
When the $100 label is insufficient
The original denomination, current available balance and product identity need to be kept separate. A partially spent $100 card is not an unused $100 card. A promotional reward card is not automatically a gift card. A virtual product is not covered merely because a table contains a physical-card entry.
The evidence here supplies no issuer-specific $100 quote, no digital-card quote and no receipt-category adjustment. We have not filled those gaps by multiplying a $1 figure or applying a currency-converter result.
Reading the historical amount responsibly
Keep the August 1 date beside ₦22,040 whenever using the generic record. Before relying on any present amount, establish the issuer, program, card format, remaining balance, applicable terms and the date of the matching quote. Keep account and card credentials private throughout those checks.
The exact denomination exists in the generic table, but a verified current valuation for your specific $100 Mastercard gift card does not follow from it. Product identification is the next useful step; guessing a more attractive number is not.
